Winter Waterfall Excursion at Devils Fork State Park (20-22 January 2014)

A two nights in a lakeside villa at Devils Fork State Park provided bookends to a wonderful ranger-guided trip to scenic waterfalls and historic sites in the upstate of South Carolina.  It seemed a perfect opportunity to try out my photographing moving water skills.  Not knowing what to expect in terms of distances and the temperament of the folks with whom we'd be spending the day, I did not lug the tripod.  But, now that we know where these falls' are perhaps a return trip is in our future.  Click on each thumbnail for a full view lightbox view and caption.
